Living in the USA, I meet folks for all over Africa and
whenever I mention Zimbabwe, “We love Mugabe are the words that come flying out”
Why I respond. “He kicked the White man off his land’ is the shame full
response. If you got so much against “the white man”, why you not here and not
in Africa. You can imagine, my response is met with silence.
So look at Mugabe’s achievements and look at Ian Smith’s
Mugabe
Took over a country that was flourishing and was rated as one of the top
economies in the world with one Rhodesian dollar 1 for 1 with the pound
Inflation under Mugabe over 200 million percent (NO JOKE)
Housing for the pour – No such, the poor have their homes
broken down
Education – Send his kids overseas as the education system
has almost collapsed
Healthcare – Collapsed. Mugabe travel to the East frequently
for treatment
Economy – What is that? Try taking farms, businesses and 80
% unemployment
Government – Big and Corrupt – Just look at his nephew
Phillip
Infrastructure – Run down – No running water, no electricity
Leadership – Falls asleep in meetings – No good. Old and
should be long gone
Smith
Build up Rhodesia and left it as one of the best countries
in the world.
Inflation, almost unheard of
Housing for the pour – Programs were in place
Education – The best in Africa. His kids schooled in
Rhodesia
Healthcare – Rated in the top 10 worldwide with all modern
technology. Smith never left for a single medical trip overseas.
Economy – Rhodesia was the bread basket of Africa. A world
powerhouse even with sanctions imposed.
Government – Effective
Infrastructure – Up to date and effective
Leadership – Young, energetic and effective.
Mugabe is nothing more than a disgrace. Smith had his down
fall of racialism, but how is Mugabe any different?
