Happy New Year

As we say good bye and so long to 2012, I thank you all for your continued prays, and support.

2012 has been a rough and tough year but a great one too. The people of Egypt, Syria, Zimbabwe, North Korea and many other countries; Better days are ahead.

Democracy will always win over evil and Dictators will fall. 2013 will be a great year for freedom and democracy and it will be the year of the fall of the last few dictators who are standing.

I have and will continue to work hard to make sure that whatever I can do to see to it that I can make a positive difference will be done and will not stop.

To my fellow Zimbabweans, do not give up nor give in. Robert Mugabe and his ZANU PF are going to be history. We must push on.

Mugabe’s call for peace insincere

The burning of two houses belonging to David Chihwai Chamanga, the MDC organising secretary ward 17 in Mutoko confirms our concern over Mugabe and Zanu PF’s calls for peace in public fora whilst at night arming and unleashing bands of Zanu PF militia groups to commit acts of violence against perceived opponents.


What is more worrying is police inaction in dealing with this case of arson given that their mandate is to protect property and citizens from perpetrators of such heinous crimes. The failure by police to act is a clear indication of complicity in the whole crime which vindicates our worry about the presence of state sponsored violence in Zimbabwe and as such we reiterate our call for the security sector reforms.

More disturbing is the fact that this incident comes hot on the heels of a series of well calculated attacks by state and non state agencies against those prodemocracy organisations and activists. Of note is the recent raiding of the Counselling Service Unit, arrests of MDC leadership like Elton Mangoma, arrests of independent journalists, deployment of military personnel in Masvingo and Manicaland who are intimidating people to vote in favour of Zanu PF in the next coming referendum and plebiscite in 2013.

Zanu (PF) threatens coup, again

In an interview with The Zimbabwean, Gumbo said that the war veterans and collaborators, most of whom are Zanu (PF) sympathizers, were likely to block Tsvangirai’s ascendancy to power in the event of an MDC-T victory in the next elections. Gumbo’s sentiments confirm long held fears among Zimbabweans
that a smooth transition of power in Zimbabwe was uncertain.“We have people who fought for the country, the war veterans, and you think they would just smile. What about the land that we acquired? We want to keep the farms. Honestly, the situation will be messy if MDC is to win in the upcoming elections. It will be chaotic I tell you. This is a very serious issue,” he said.Gumbo’s remarks come barely a month after he publicly declared the possibility of a coup if Tsvangirai was to win, saying the military would not accept him. “We will be asking for too much from our guys (the military) to accept these people who we all know fought against them and were responsible for the deaths of many comrades,” he told e-News Channel Africa.
A week earlier, the Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Patrick Chinamasa, also told the BBC that Zanu (PF) and the military would not accept a “foreign-sponsored” victory for Tsvangirai. “Young people participated in the liberation struggle to gain control over our resources.Many friends died and are buried in unmarked graves. Now if anyone is going to say: ‘When I come into power I am going to reverse that,’ they (the military) have every right to say: ‘Please - you are asking for trouble. You will be asking for trouble,” he said.

Congratulations President Obama

Congratulations to President Obama on a hard fought and rightly won campaign.

Congratulations to the American citizens who showed their differences in respectful, mindful and with non violence and hatred.

Congratulations to Mr. Romney who too fought a great brave fight and showed such class and dignity in defeat.

A great true and democratic election and a great example set yet again to the rest of the world.

I hope Robert Mugabe, Castro, Chavez, Bashar Al Assard and many other dictators could only watch learn and respect the voice which is the vote of the people.

America, you are a true inspiration and a shining example to the world.

MDC-T Treasurer and wife severely assaulted by ZANU PF

A group of four ZANU PF thugs broke into the home of an MDC-T official in Kadoma Wednesday night, brutally assaulting him and his wife before taking their money and escaping.But there is fear that the attack was political and not criminal, because the thugs wore ZANU PF bandanas and left valuable laptops and other goods in the house.The assault was on John and Jackie Kinnaird from Kadoma. He is the MDC-T Midlands North Treasurer.
Kerry Kay, an activist and member of the MDC-T executive, said one of the youths was armed with a metal rod that looked like a car spanner used to remove bolts from a car tyres. One of the youths continuously hit John over the head.Another youth took Jackie into the bedroom, where she violently tried to break free. Her arm was broken as a result.Kerry said John had an x-ray and scans of his head taken. Fortunately he did not suffer any internal injuries and was treated and sent home.But Jackie is still at the hospital, where she is scheduled to have an operation on her arm on Friday. Kerry said she has a compound fracture and the bone was sticking out of her arm.Kerry blasted the MDC-T for not doing enough to stem the tide of violence already grips Zimbabwe ahead of elections. She said the party is not being strong enough in responding to political violence from ZANU PF thugs.“There is no rule of law in the country and when there is no rule of law, nothing functions. We’ve got 31 people sitting in jail for the murder of a policeman. All the evidence given in court so far exonerates them 100 per cent. Yet they are still in jail 18 months later. They are prisoners of conscience, not criminals,” Kerry fumed.The activist warned that whenever Robert Mugabe speaks publicly of peace and non violence, the country can expect violence to flare up and intensify soon after that.

It is evident by Bashar – Al – Assad’s failure to hold his end of a cease fire / truce that like all dictators before him, he will stop a nothing.

Why does it have to take more than a year and counting before anything meaningful is done regarding Syria and regarding stopping this outright slaughter?

Dictators like Assad and Mugabe will stop at nothing.

The people of Syria have the right to normal life and this dictator like Mugabe, must be dealt with and taken out of office before he kills millions.

Stop Assad. Stop Mugabe. Stop dictators. Let love flow and democracy rule.
